On Monday, the Sun Belt Conference announced its all-conference teams and preseason players of the year.

While Arkansas State was picked to finish second in the Sun Belt behind Troy, quarterback Corey Leonard and defensive lineman Alex Carrington were named preseason players of the year on offense and defense, respectively. Leonard shares the honor with Florida Atlantic quarterback Rusty Smith and Carrington looks to repeat as the league’s top defender.

Leonard and Carrington are also fifth-year seniors at ASU. Steve Roberts wouldn’t have it any other way.
