Julie Oxendine of Russellville defeated Elizabeth Wells of El Dorado in a two-hole playoff Wednesday for an Arkansas Women’s Golf Association championship at Hot Springs Country Club.

Both finished 36 holes at 146 after identical rounds of 74 and 72.

Oxendine’s victory is her second this year on the AWGA circuit. She won her sixth AWGA Match Play Championship in June, defeating Celeste Bobbitt of Rogers at Red Apple Inn & Golf Course in Heber Springs.
