North/South bridge winners
The Bridge House of Hot Springs recently held the annual Alyce Ebel Memorial Tournament. Ebel was a founder of the Bridge House. Until her death in 2012, she was a frequent player and supporter of the club. Each year on her birthday, her family provides a party, Ebel's favorite cake and game tickets to the North/South and East/West winners in the A, B and C strats on that day. The North/South winners were, bottom, Carolyn Chunn and Bonnie McDonald; top, Steve Knott and Joyce Stroud and Charles Tapp and Eddie Sisco. 90th Assembly held by Daughters of American Colonists
At its 90th State Assembly held recently in Fayetteville, the Arkansas Society Daughters of the American Colonists elected new state officers for the term 2018-2020. Elected were Regent Tammy Sowers-White, Vice Regent Mary Miller, Chaplain Dorothy Wilks, Secretary Mary Ford, Treasurer Betty Harp, Registrar Ruth Ashcraft and Historian MarJo Dill. This is Sowers-White second term as state regent.
