Lakeside High School students to perform during Hot Springs Music Club program

Two students from Lakeside High School will perform for the Alexander Technique Master Class at 3 p.m. Sunday at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church.

The program, hosted by the Hot Springs Music Club, will feature Clifford Hicks, a certified trainer and clinician in the Alexander Technique. The students will perform and Hicks will work with them to explain and demonstrate the technique to optimize their performance.

Lydia Poole, a Lakeside High School senior, has studied piano with Kathy Mesko for 10 years. She is the head drum major for the Lakeside High School Marching Band and is an active member at Oaklawn Baptist Church. She plans to attend the University of Arkansas next year. Poole is the daughter of Tim and Marty Poole, of Hot Springs.

Linneman

Sarah-Marie Linneman is a junior at Lakeside High School. She is a member of the Lakeside High School Marching Band and has won placements in the All Region Band and All State Band. Linneman has been a member of the Hot Springs Flute Ensemble as a Julian Herring Youth Scholar for seven years in a row, plays contra bass flute in the group, is a youth member on the board of directors, and is also the group's webmaster. She is the daughter of Jim and Merian Linneman, of Hot Springs, and a flute student of Jackie Flowers.

Any musician or performer in the arts is encouraged to attend this informative program. Hicks will also be available to consult with individuals after the program.
