Jerry Matlock

Retired Lake Hamilton Jr. High honors science teacher Jerry Matlock wrote the music and words for the film. A graduate of Henderson State University he first started writing lyrics and poetry when he was 13.

"Nature and the principles that are inherent within the workings of the universe are the forces that inspire me to create lyrics, poetry and music," said Matlock, who daily studies metaphysics and philosophy. He cites the principle known as Nam Myoho Renge Kyo in the Buddhist tradition as a primary inspiration for his work.

Matlock currently teaches Qigong and Tai Chi for the Oaklawn Center on Aging.

Joe Correia, a native of Portugal, is the photographer and producer of the film. A graduate of the inter armed military school of photography, he was a combat photographer in the U.S. Army. Following his military service, he was a photojournalist for the Daily Miner in Fairbanks, Alaska, the northernmost daily newspaper in the US.

With more than 40 years of experience as a photographer, Correia has developed curriculum for several colleges and universities across the country. He has become a documentary filmmaker and trained video producer.

"My current direction is to create art with the intent of bringing together the two deepest aspects of existence -- love and understanding," Correia said.
