"Hello, Hot Springs, my name is Kali Johnson and I want to welcome you to the newest pet salon in town, Fancy Paws Pet Salon LLC, right off Albert Pike Road," stated the press release. It is at the same parking lot as Country Gardens Nursery. Fancy Paws officially opened Sept. 5.
Johnson is a certified pet groomer from Lake Havasu City, Ariz. She moved here due to her father in-law's illness in April of this year. "I knew I always wanted to open my own salon, but being new in town and just moving here, I knew that it just wouldn't be possible. So I went out and found myself a job."
Johnson and her husband discussed opening a place. "So we went looking for buildings all over the place. Then one day, my husband's friend told us about a shop he had next to his business. It was perfect, I fell in love. I told my husband this it, it's perfect. So we did it and I learned anything is possible, just have faith."
Fancy Paws offers the typical grooming and bathing services, including free nail filing that helps keeps you're fur babies nails short and smooth.
"I also know it's hard and stressful for some pets to be away from their owners. I always try to get each pet out within two hours and I also offer a monthly special that comes with one full-service groom and two baths a month.
"The most important thing to me is making your fur babies feel safe and at home as much as possible. I will always treat each one with love and good care, and you will always feel better knowing I'm a certified pet groomer that does your fur baby from start to finish so they can get home faster."
Fancy Paws is handicap accessible, has a pet potty area for those that need it and has hot coffee or chocolate, WiFi waiting in the lobby, with cozy chairs to wait. Fancy Paw's will have a grand opening Saturday at 3820 Albert Pike. Call 501-701-4803 to make appointment.
