Senior Center to offer Adult Senior Tap Class
The Hot Springs Senior Center, located in the Warehouse Event Space, 301 Broadway St., will offer a new Adult Senior Tap Class starting Tuesday from 2-2:45 p.m.
"Tap is one of the best forms of exercise for your feet, legs, core and brain. The class will focus on technique, basic tap steps, sound patterns, balance and posture. Tap also is a direct link between cognitive thinking, increased coordination and memory. However, the main purpose of the class is to have fun," a news release said.
The class is open to men and women who have never tapped, to dancers who tapped as children and want to re-learn. There is no cost but "free will" donations are welcome.

The class will be taught by Patricia Genovese, who has taught senior tap for three years in Hot Springs and who formed the Spa City Tappers, a performing group that has danced throughout the state. She is skilled in various types of dance and has performed in the dance world for 65 years.
Pediatric clinic hosts 'Spring Fling'
The Hot Springs Pediatric Clinic will host "Spring Fling," an event offering games, food and fun, in the National Park Medical Center front parking lot, from 1-4 p.m. April 28.
The event will include summer safety information and demonstrations, and is being held in partnership with NPMC.
