420eats in Gateway District holds grand opening

A new food truck court at 420 Malvern Ave., 420eats in the Gateway District, will hold its grand opening Saturday with live music, an inflatable bounce house for children, games and other fun activities.

Stephen and Eddie Inman-Crawley, who own Lox Salon across the street, started the project nearly two years ago. The food truck court will have hookups for five or six food trucks.

"Our vision is for this to be more a venue gathering spot than just a lot with trucks. A family and pet-friendly hot spot," Stephen Inman-Crawley told The Sentinel-Record last year.

Three food trucks are currently set up at the site, including Mama Vee's Southern Homestyle Cuisine, which offers "Cooking from the heart!", Rock 'N' Roll Hibachi, offering Japanese and Asian cuisine, and the Hydration Station, offering shaved ice treats, coffees and lattes.

The bounce house will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jacob Flores will perform from noon to 3 p.m., and the Easter bunny will be on hand from 3-4 p.m. The Brent Frazier Band will perform from 4-7 p.m.

"We are super stoked," Inman-Crawley said. "Bring a chair and hang out with us."
