Crystal Chimes Chorus wins Audience Choice Award

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- The Crystal Chimes Chorus won the Audience Choice Award at the recent Sweet Adelines International Region 25 Chorus Competition in Little Rock.

"The audience agreed that we were the most entertaining in our division. Our goal is to provide excellent entertainment while improving our vocal skills. We are fortunate to have as our director Margaret Kresse of Hot Springs, a fine musician and voice teacher," the chorus said in a news release.

"Our assistant director, Anne Bowes, has many years of experience as a Sweet Adeline director and recently, one of our members, Judy Pugh, became a certified director. We have a wealth of talent to help accomplish our goals. But our primary goal is to have fun with a sisterhood of like-minded women," it said.

Crystal Chimes Chorus meets every Tuesday at Christ of the Hills UMC, 700 Balearic Road, Hot Springs Village, from 1-4 p.m. Visitors are welcome.

Call Yvonne Curtis at 501-922-9040 for more information. The next public performance will be Memorial Day at the ceremony at Cedar Vale Cemetery in the Village sponsored by the VFW.
