Senate minority leader to address club

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Senate Minority Leader Keith Ingram, of West Memphis, will address the Hot Springs Village Democratic Club at its regular quarterly meeting on Friday at the Coronado Center, 150 Ponderosa Lane.

A social hour with free buffet will begin at 3 p.m. and the program will start at 4 p.m.

Ingram, a frequent guest on AETN's "Arkansas Week" program will summarize this year's legislative session and talk about unfinished business that still needs work. Around 120 members of the club are expected to hear Ingram, the former mayor of West Memphis.

Literacy council to hold yard sale Friday

The Literacy Council of Garland County will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at 119 Hobson Ave. Proceeds from the sale will be used to support the councils' efforts in Garland County. Books and miscellaneous items will be for sale.
