Holy Ghost Headquarters honors first lady's 6th year
Holy Ghost Headquarters, 1900 Hobson Ave., will honor First Lady Youth Pastor Lasonia Broadway's sixth-year anniversary with the church at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The event will be led by guest speaker Lady Jennifer Story, Cottrell Chapel CME.
Stop the Violence Prayer Night set for Aug. 24
New Beginning Christian Ministry, 323 E. Grand Ave., will host a "Stop the Violence" candlelit prayer night at 6 p.m. Aug. 24.
The event, led by Pastor Michael Smith, is meant to stop the talk about violence and start the prayer for violence. It is for people who know someone lost to violence or suicide.
The public is welcome.
St. Phillips COGIC celebrates 82 years
St. Phillips COGIC will celebrate its 82nd church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, at 237 Walnut St.
Guest speaker will be Supt. Jerry Williams of First Trinity COGIC in Pine Bluff, who will speak on "Strong Foundation, Built to Last."
