HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Hot Springs Village Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nathan Hunnicutt addressed the Aug. 8 meeting of the Rotary Club of Hot Springs Village.

Last February, Hunnicutt, who was introduced by Rotarian of the Day Bon Shoemaker, joined the Chamber of Commerce, which has the goal of serving businesses both inside and outside the Village as well as within Garland and Saline counties and two Metro planning districts, Little Rock and Hot Springs.

"The heart is Hot Springs Village," Hunnicutt said, according to a news release from the club.

There are about 330 members of the HSV Area Chamber of Commerce, "with new members always welcome," the release said.

Hunnicutt said his goal is to help people get more connected. To do that, chamber activities include the Morning Mixer for those who have other commitments during the day, the Partner Up Luncheon with guest speakers, and Alive After Five, which anyone can attend for a fee of $5 and enjoy food, drink, and live music, as well as the chance to meet others, the release said.

Annual events include the Awards Banquet and the Business Expo. They have a current directory as well as a comprehensive guide to The Village at the Chamber of Commerce office, 121 Cordoba Way No. 300, near the West Gate of Hot Springs Village. Guests are always welcome at the Hot Springs Village club, which meets in the Fireside Dining Room at Good Sam's, 121 Cortez Road, Thursdays at 6:30 a.m.
