Impeachment parody
Dear editor:
If Donald Trump and Joe Biden were both seen in the vicinity of precious gems in Ukraine (Hunter accompanying his dad) and after their departure, two gems worth millions were missing (we'll call them gem "A" and gem "B"), investigators were sent to the U.S. to search their residences.
With no stone left unturned at every Trump property, including the White House, all overseen by Schiff, Nadler and Pelosi, nothing.
Joe appeared nervous when the trove of investigators turned up at his house but Schiff assured him it was just routine and everyone knows he and Hunter are clean and pure as new-driven snow.
Before long, "two investigators" came rushing down the stairs with gem "A" and gem "B." They said they found one in Joe's jewelry box and the other one in Hunter's jewelry box.
Uncle Joe said, "I saw Hunter -- I mean Trump -- swipe the gems and he must have had the Trump kids plant them here!" The Dem "three amigos" agreed in unison.
At that, Schifty Schiff said, "you're in the clear and I'm going to leave them with you and Hunter for safekeeping while we go after Trump!"
My parody of the Trump impeachment show.
God Bless America -- America Bless God.

Protecting the Constitution
Dear editor:
The impeachment hearings made it excruciatingly clear that Trump engaged in a quid-pro-quo and violated the Constitution.
It's not the first time he has engaged in behavior that puts his own interests above the security interests of the U.S. There was already enough evidence to impeach him, but now we are well past the threshold of doubt that he has violated his oath of office.
It is the duty of Congress to check the power of the executive branch when that branch violates the constitution and betrays our nation. If Bruce Westerman, Tom Cotton and John Boozman do not support this impeachment, history will not look on them kindly. If they do not support this impeachment, they are failing to serve the Constitution.
If they do not support this impeachment, they are pandering to and protecting a corrupt, ego-driven maniac who will do irreparable damage to our great nation. As a citizen of our proud nation, I demand they stand up to this traitor in the Oval Office and prove to our great state that they understand the obligations of their position.
