Vegetarian Supper Club meets Monday

Dr. Russ Newman, a holistic doctor of preventive medicine, will be the featured guest at the next meeting of the Vegetarian Supper Club at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Newman is a certified lymphologist who has taught natural healing, energy medicine, and sustainable living in a toxic world for more than 20 years, helping thousands of people to maintain a pain-free lifestyle and enjoy optimal health, a news release said.

"There is no greater calling in the world than to save lives," Newman said. The release said he will discuss the difference between GMO foods, conventional food, and certified organic food. His presentation will also feature the hydration crisis, the principles for structuring the water throughout the body, and the cause and effect of dehydration at the cellular level. The presentation will also include hands-on techniques for removing pain from the body. There will be a question-and-answer period at the close of the session.

The Supper Club meets in the fellowship hall at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 401 Weston Road, at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday evening each month. Attendees should bring a pen or pencil and check in 15 minutes early to pick up their information pack.

Attendees are welcome to bring a vegetarian dish of their choice with the recipe and a self-addressed envelope to receive the recipe collection for the evening. The potluck supper will be served prior to the presentation. There is no admission charge, and everyone is welcome.
