Melting Pot releases 41st edition of The Kettle

The Melting Pot Genealogy Society has released the 41st edition of its publication The Kettle.

The current volume contains pedigree charts, family Bible pages, cemetery research, archive photos from Central Avenue and Happy Hollow and other items of interest to anyone researching family history.

The Ancestry Stories section contains member-submitted stories and photographs, including Capt. R.D. Watts; the Rice family; the Housley/Owsley family; and the Hill Richey family of Howard County. This edition also includes a Family Heirloom section with photos and stories describing collections of heirlooms submitted by MPGS members.

The Kettle can be purchased at the Melting Pot Library at 649-B Ouachita Ave., or online at Amazon.com. The library is open from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday and Friday. The MPGS meets at the library on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 12:30 p.m.
