Ron Muse, 80, of Hot Springs passed away Sunday, Jan. 6.
Ron proudly served his country as SSG in the U.S. Army Reserves No. 489 Engineers Battalion. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and lifelong member of Walnut Ridge No. 390 Royal, as was his father and grandfather. He was a proud member of the Lake Hamilton Class of 1957. Ron volunteered at Garvan Woodland Gardens. Ron was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church.
Ron had a great life doing pretty much what he wanted, when he wanted, on his own terms. If you've ever been to Garvan Woodland Gardens, good chance that you may have passed him where he asked for a "smile." If you visited one of the local restaurants, he likely shared or offered "fresh vegetables" or "hot peppers" from his garden.
Ron is survived by his wife, Pat Muse; son, Dewitt Muse (Terry); grandchildren, Zachary, Natalie Muse; numerous cousins; and family.
Ron was a Genesis Donor, "selflessly" donating his entire body to the Medical Education & Research Institute.
Many thanks to all friends, family, classmates, Piney Volunteer Fire Department, Walnut Ridge No. 390 and the AP&L Boys. Memorial Service Saturday, Jan. 12, 2 p.m. Piney Grove United Methodist Church, 2963 Airport Road, Hot Springs, AR, 71913.
