Jackson House Executive Director Janie Smith recently spoke to members of South Hot Springs Lions Club about the current needs of the community and how Jackson House is able to fill the gap to help feed, clothe and assist people in need. Over the years, Smith has learned how to stretch each donated dollar. Each year, SHSLC holds a semiannual Gun & Knife Show, in which the moneys derived from the show goes to fund local charities. Financially supporting Jackson House is one of the ways South Hot Springs Lions Club lives up the Lions motto of "We Serve."
