Jo L. Armstrong, age 70, of Hot Springs, died Tuesday, July 9, 2019.
She was born on May 23, 1949, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Jodie Junior Hibbs and Norma Faye Wesner Hibbs. On Nov. 29, 1981, she married Ike Armstrong in Williston, N.D., and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her father.
Jo was retired and a member of First Baptist Church, Hot Springs. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds but her greatest enjoyment was being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Jo will be missed by all that knew her.
She is survived by her son, Shane (Ginger) Bozeman of Wasilla, Alaska; her daughter, Michelle (Adam) Mahan of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Hunter (Sydney) Grubbs, Justin Grubbs, Chance Mahan and Shaley Mahan, all of Hot Springs and Zak Jaksha and Zoe Jaksha, both of Wasilla, Alaska; one great-granddaughter, Adalynn Grubbs; her mother, Norma F. Hibbs of Hot Springs; her brother, Larry (Carol) Hibbs of Hot Springs; her sister, Rhonda (Donny) Keenom of Hot Springs; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of wonderful friends.
Services will be 10 a.m., Friday, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with the Reverend Mike Pounders officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time on Friday.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Grubbs, Justin Grubbs, Lyle Hibbs, Jason Jeffery, Chris Megee and Chad Hughes.
