Submitted photo BREAKFAST CLUB: The Marion Anderson Breakfast Club recently held its monthly gathering for July starting with breakfast at Phil's Restaurant, followed by a visit to the History of Hot Springs Gambling Museum, 3339-C Central Ave., where members received a "great tour and fun time by the owners Chris Hendrix, Lanny Beavers and Tony Frazier," a news release said. "We were brought back to the old days of gambling in Hot Springs, viewing many casino tables and slots."

Submitted photos REPBULICAN WOMEN: Garland County Republican Women meets on the second Monday of each month. On July 8, the group met in the home of GCRW President Sharon Turrentine for its Annual Membership Tea.

Turrentine announced that a closed Facebook page has been created for paid members of GCRW who are unable to attend a meeting. The page features the agenda of the missed meeting, along with a video of the program or speaker. The group's public Facebook page remains open for everyone to visit.
