POPTASTIC Weekend set for July 19-20
The women of Visitors Chapel AME Church, 319 Church, will have a POPTASTIC Weekend Women's Conference (Pursuing our Purpose Transformed as Sista's Trusting in Christ).
At 6 p.m. Friday July 19, there will be a POPTASTIC Friday service and game night. On Saturday, July 20, the conference will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a continental breakfast and lunch will be served.
Speakers for the event will be the Rev. Carla Compton-Thomas, the Rev. Diana Watkins-Dickerson and Shelia Cole Washington.

Musician Appreciation Service set for Sunday
St. Mark Baptist Church, 542 Crescent, will observe its Musician Appreciation Service during the 11 a.m. service Sunday.
Special presentations and tributes by friends and various auxiliaries of the church will honor Janice McCoy for her 45 years of service in the music field to the Hot Springs community and surrounding communities. Everyone is welcome to attend.
