Hot Springs police confirmed that one person has been detained following a fatal shooting in the 400 block of Third Street.

Hot Springs police say one woman is dead after a reported shooting in the 400 block of Third Street that occurred shortly after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Traffic was being rerouted around the intersection of Third and Rector Wednesday afternoon, and police officers could be seen entering Simply Unique Hair Beauty Supply, 400-C Third St., near where the roadway was blocked off.
Officers had stretched yellow crime scene tape across the parking lot in front of the business, and a newspaper photographer observed one person being loaded into an ambulance, and another lying on the ground.
