Miss South Central Arkansas Emma Pitts, right, won the Preliminary Artistic Expression in Talent Award and Miss Ouachita Baptist University Julie Williams, left, won the Evening Gown Preliminary Award on Tuesday, the opening night of the 82nd Annual Miss Arkansas Pageant at Robinson Center in Little Rock. With the winners is Miss Arkansas 2019 Claudia Raffo. For winning Talent, Pitts received a $2,000 scholarship. Williams received a $1,500 scholarship for winning Evening Gown. Both scholarships were provided by the Miss Arkansas Scholarship Foundation. For her talent, Pitts performed a musical theater dance to "Journey To The Past." Williams wore a white gown and spoke about her personal social impact issue which is "Bridging the Gap between the Free and the Fighter."
