An alleged trespasser was soon facing multiple felony charges after Hot Springs police reportedly located drugs and paraphernalia in his possession Sunday evening.

Tyson McHale Brumley, 37, who lists a Brumley Trail address, was taken into custody shortly before 6:30 p.m. and charged with possession of meth with purpose to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, each punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and misdemeanor counts of criminal trespass, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.

Brumley was being held on $12,000 bond and set to appear Monday in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, shortly before 6 p.m., Hot Springs police responded to the 100 block of Daley Terrace where a resident was complaining of an unknown man trespassing on his property.

Officers arrived and found Brumley seated in a red Dodge pickup truck in the driveway of the residence. He reportedly could not provide a consistent account of events, claiming he was there to pick up some property for a friend, but could not provide the name of the friend or any contact information.

Officers noted Brumley was having trouble keeping his eyes open and was "sweating profusely" and slurring his speech. They also noted Brumley's cargo shorts were "soaking wet."

Officer Thomas Plummer told Brumley he was caught on security video walking around the property and Brumley stated he did not take anything and gave consent for the officers to search his vehicle if needed. When he got out of the truck, it was noted Brumley was missing one shoe which he reportedly admitted came off while walking around the property.

In the truck's center console, Plummer reportedly found a plastic bag with 2.8 grams of what later tested positive for meth. Under the seat, he found a set of digital scales and behind the seat he found a small glass container with meth residue. Plummer also reportedly found a marijuana smoking pipe and numerous straws cut in various sizes and shapes.

At one point, Brumley asked officers to try to find his missing shoe and they looked around the area but couldn't find it.

When asked later about the items found in the vehicle, Brumley allegedly admitted there were several drug baggies, a marijuana pipe and "someone may have left a dope bag." When asked what kind of dope, he reportedly said meth.
