Larry Marshall, of Hot Springs, holds a bluegill worth $500 he caught while fishing on Lake Catherine at the bottom of Carpenter Dam on Sunday. It was the 22nd fish caught in the 2019 $101,000 Hot Springs Fishing Challenge; $23,000 has been awarded to date in the challenge, which ends at 5 p.m. July 31. Visit Hot Springs announced June 7 that "Big Al," the $15,000 grand prize fish, is a bluegill and remains at large. In addition, three fish worth $5,000, 31 worth $1,000, and 14 fish worth $500 are waiting to be reeled in.
