A Hot Springs Village man who was reportedly walking around in his neighborhood in the nude claiming he was chasing his dog was arrested Saturday morning on misdemeanor charges.

Lee Morris Jones, 47, of 24 Lequita Place, was taken into custody outside his residence shortly before 10 a.m. and charged with indecent exposure, punishable by up to one year in jail, and disorderly conduct, punishable by up to 30 days in jail.

Jones was being held on $1,500 bond and is set to appear Wednesday in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Hot Springs Village police were dispatched to Lequita Place regarding a possible disturbance and were told a man was walking down the street with a bloody face. It was noted officers had been dispatched to Jones' residence twice earlier that morning due to complaints of a white male walking outside nude.

Officers reportedly located Jones at the scene and noted he was nude except for a shirt wrapped around his torso with his buttocks exposed. It was also noted Jones' shorts were located about 20 feet away on the ground.

Jones had blood running from his forehead and reportedly claimed he had been chasing his dog when he fell. Officers talked with neighbors on the street who said Jones had been walking around outside nude and that several minor children were present outside at the time.

LifeNet responded and transported Jones to National Park Medical Center to be treated and evaluated in the emergency room. At the hospital, Jones allegedly made a spontaneous statement to officers that he "sometimes runs around naked outside and it just happens."

Once he was cleared medically, he was taken to the detention center where he refused to provide any information to the staff so he was placed in a holding cell.
