A Hot Springs man died after he was struck by a vehicle late Monday while walking across Albert Pike at its intersection with Mountain Pine Road, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash summary released Tuesday.
Stephen L. Davis, 45, was crossing Albert Pike around 10:45 p.m. when he reportedly walked into the path of a 2008 Chrysler 300 that was westbound on Albert Pike entering the center turn lane.
Davis was struck by the vehicle and later pronounced dead at the scene by Garland County Coroner Stuart Smedley.
The report notes weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the incident. The report did not list the name of the driver of the Chrysler.
