70 West Fire Department personnel work to cut off a man's boot after his leg was injured in a three-vehicle wreck in the 1500 block of Airport Road around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Arkansas State Police Trooper Kevin Ault said a white Mercedes reportedly attempted to cross five lanes of traffic when it was struck by an eastbound Hyundai Santa Fe, which was then rear-ended by a Chrysler Town and Country. Two vehicles came to rest in the front lawn of a local veterinary office and the Mercedes struck a telephone box. Ault said multiple people could experience difficulties with their phones as a result. Four people were injured and transported to area hospitals by LifeNet and a portion of Airport Road was closed to inbound traffic for about 90 minutes.
