Local woman charged with murder (with video)

UPDATE:

Hot Springs police charged a local woman with first-degree murder Wednesday evening following a shooting earlier in the day at 2216 Malvern Ave.

Police charged Elizabeth Hageness, 57, of Hot Springs with one count of first-degree murder, punishable by life in prison.

She remained in custody at the Garland County Detention Center on zero bond Wednesday.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.

Hot Spring police are investigating a reported shooting that occurred at 2216 Malvern Ave. shortly after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

LifeNet personnel could be seen performing CPR on a man as he is carried on a gurney out of the residence. Police were initially called to the residence in reference to a shooting.
