A 51-year-old female was killed after being struck by an SUV on Amity Road Tuesday at around 4 p.m., Arkansas State Police said. The 51-year-old woman, whose identity had not be released by presstime, was walking about 3 feet into the traffic lane when a Cadillac Escalade traveling east crested a slight hill, state police said. The driver, a female, and the only person in the vehicle, attempted to stop but failed and struck the pedestrian, state police said.
