Up and stopping

Vehicles move through the intersection of Airport Road and West St. Louis Street Tuesday where traffic improvements are now fully functional, including a new section of street, two traffic signals, two lighted pedestrian crosswalks, accessible curb cuts and sidewalks, the city said. The state half-cent sales tax helped fund the city's share of the project, which should result in greater safety for motorists and pedestrians. The intersection has statistically been one of the most accident prone in the city.
