April is National Poetry Month and, in celebration, the Circle Gallery at Emergent Arts plans to exhibit visual artworks inspired by poetry in "The Art of Poetry: An Exhibition of Visual Art Inspired by the Written Word."
Featuring local artists and poets, the exhibition will be on display from April 5 to May 25. An opening reception will be held Friday, April 5, and feature an open mic for any poet who wants to read.
Gallery Walk receptions will be held April 5 and May 3, from 5-8 p.m.
The Circle Gallery at Emergent Arts is located at 341-A Whittington Ave. and is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m.
