Hot Springs Toastmasters to meet Saturday at NPMC

Hot Springs Toastmasters will hold its regular weekly club meeting at 8 a.m. Saturday at National Park Medical Center, 1910 Malvern Ave.

All former Toastmasters, as well as interested guests, are welcome. Meetings normally are one hour long. The meetings are held in the east wing of the hospital. Enter from under the portico on that end of the campus.

Toastmasters is a supportive, inexpensive way to learn speaking and leadership skills. Training resources for speechmaking are part of Toastmaster materials available to members. Toastmasters International's materials and programs also offer leadership development. Meetings may also include an educational presentation.

VFW to hold monthly meeting on Saturday

VFW Post 2278 will hold its monthly membership meeting at 1 p.m. Saturday at Rumors Bar and Grill, 3812 Central Ave. New officers will be sworn in for the upcoming year starting in July, and votes will be taken on a "few important issues."
