The Greater Hot Springs Chamber of Commerce will hold its 13th annual Flavor of the Park from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Exchange Street Parking Plaza.

The annual food showcase is a "great way to sample many of the delicious and diverse restaurants Hot Springs has," the chamber said in a release.

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Children age 10 and younger are admitted at no charge. Tickets may be obtained at the Chamber of Commerce, 659 Ouachita Ave., or by visiting http://www.hotspringschamber.com.

Admission includes samples of food, beer, wine and soft drinks with live entertainment provided by popular artist Jacob Flores, who was featured on season 14 of "American Idol" and advanced through the preliminary rounds of NBC's "The Voice." Crowned the 2013 "Henderson Idol" at Henderson State University, Flores has been invited to perform at events such as the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, Hot Water Hills Music Festival and the Miss Arkansas Pageant.

"Flavor of the Park is one of Hot Springs' most loved events and is a great way to kick off the summer," Betsy Atkins, chamber vice president, said in the release. "It showcases our members and is a great way for attendees to discover a new favorite restaurant."

The event provides a wide variety of flavors, from fine dining to fast food as well as catering companies and taverns.

Mara Kuhn, the chamber's communications manager, said more than 600 attended the event last year and they are hoping for a big turnout this year, as well.

She noted the event is held on the lower level of the parking deck, but all the normal parking spots on the upper levels will still be open.

Some of the restaurants that will be in attendance include Purple Cow, The Avenue, Firehouse Subs, Papa Murphy's, Catering Temptations, Trejo's, Papa John's, Capos Tacos, Bleu Monkey Grill, Sam's Club, Outback Steakhouse, Buffalo Wild Wings, EVILO Oils and Vinegars, Kilwins, Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort, JavaPrimo Coffee House, Cafe & More, Kona Ice, Superior Brewery and Will's Cinnamon Shop.

Drink vendors include Tri-Lakes Liquor/19th Hole Wine & Spirits, Arkansas Beverage Sales, O'Conner Distributing, and Coca-Cola.

The inaugural Flavor of the Park was held on May 4, 2007, at Hill Wheatley Plaza and has grown every year.
