The Photo Finishers is celebrating its 23rd anniversary with new products and special savings on photo and video services.

Since Nov. 1 1996, The Photo Finishers (voted Hot Springs Best Photo and Video Store) has served the photo and video imaging needs of clients in Hot Springs and across the United States.

"From very humble beginnings, the list of photographic services has expanded to encompass truly dizzying amount of services performed locally at the Albert Pike location, including film and digital printing from cameras and phones, new and used camera and accessory sales, batteries, film, media cards, frames, albums, Video services, printing from phones, photo restorations, Christmas gifts, holiday cards and much more," a news release said.

"My goal with this business is, and has always been, to offer the most complete variety of imaging and photography services available anywhere under one roof, and I think we have been very successful with that," said Waco Hill, business owner. "It's really hard for me to think of any photo imaging service -- traditional or digital -- that we have not provided over the years. It seems like we do it all."

Copy and printing services of any size old photographs, as well as custom-sized professional poster and enlargement printing is available at the Albert Pike location, as well as full-service old photocopy and restoration services.

"We have copied originals up to 3 feet plus, so we really are not limited as some other labs might be by original size or condition. If there is damage to the photo's we can restore them and make them look better than new," he said.

"We have been doing film to video and video slideshows since very early on and we have continued to invest in new technology and training to provide services for all the new digital video file formats, as well as the capability to migrate all the memories we have stored on film and analog media to modern storage devices such as Blu-ray, DVD and CD," Hill said.

"We do lots of videotape transfer to DVD as well as old 8 mm film, VHS and even Beta. Many people don't know that we also are capable of transferring analog audio tape to CD format. We give huge discounts for those with a large quantity of videotapes, so it makes the transfer very affordable and within reach for any budget. The list of all the things we are capable of doing is really a bit mind-boggling to me reflecting on where we started. I really don't know of anywhere in the world you can get as many things done under one roof," he said.

"To celebrate the anniversary, through the month of November we are offering 23% discounts on photo enlargements from digital files 8-by-10 or larger and poster printing and framing up to 24-by-36," Hill said, "as well as some extra specials we will have going each week, and some free gifts for our clients. I hope everyone can stop by and celebrate our anniversary with us. To receive the enlargement discount, just wish us 'Happy 23rd Anniversary' when placing your order."

In addition to lab services, they have a full-service family and children's portrait studio on-site, where portraits can be brought home the same day.

For 23 years, The Photo Finishers has been located at 1819 Albert Pike, Suite F, in Hot Springs. All work is done in house and on site, "so you never have to trust your precious mementos to the risk of shipping," the release said.
