Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre to present 'A Christmas Carol'

The Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre on Tour will perform "A Christmas Carol" at the Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Ave., at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22.

Children's Theatre on Tour is part of the Statewide ArtsReach Programs at the Arkansas Arts Center, the state's premier center for visual and performing arts, the library said in a news release. Recognized by The Drama League as one of the best regional theater companies in America, the Arkansas Arts Center Children's Theatre is the only professional company in Arkansas that produces children's literary works for the stage.

"The Children's Theatre on Tour brings the magic of the theater to thousands of families across the state," Artistic Director Bradley D. Anderson said. "Every year, these performances charm audiences and create extraordinary theater experiences that educate, challenge and inspire young people and their communities."

The 2019-20 Children's Theatre on Tour is presented by Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. "A Christmas Carol" is sponsored by 3M Foundation Inc., Amcor Co. Foundation, Bank of America, Dr. Loren Bartole of Family Foot Care, Centennial Bank, Diane Suitt Gilleland, Target, and U.S. Bank Foundation, with additional support provided by the Shubert Foundation.
