Lisa K. Floyd

November 10, 2019 at 3:00 a.m.

Lisa Kay Floyd, age 49, of Hot Springs, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2019.

She was born on Feb. 13, 1970, in Hot Springs, the daughter of Roger Kymes and Bethel Groves Kymes. On Aug. 1, 1992, she married Bobby "Bob" Floyd. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Grady and Lottie Kymes; and her maternal grandparents, J.K. and Wanda Groves.

Lisa was a wonderful mother raising her children by her side. She home schooled and taught them new lessons from books and about life every day. She was a precious daughter, loving wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, nurse and an avid horse woman in her spare time. She enjoyed horseback riding and taking care of her horses, especially her favorite one, Barney. One might find her under an oak tree on a sunny day, two sons and one daughter, with books in hand eagerly teaching.

Lisa was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church. She kept her children active in church through the Awana program where they learned about the love and greatness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was very happy when she became a nurse and could give her patients tender loving care. Often, she said her patients would ask for Lisa when they were calling for a nurse. Her smile and gentleness will always be remembered and she will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Floyd, of Hot Springs; her two sons and daughter-in-law, Bobby Dale and Brenda Floyd and Tyler Wayne Floyd, all of Hot Springs; her daughter and son-in-law, Lacy Kay and Blane Gee, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; her two granddaughters, Macy Kay Floyd and Katie May Floyd; her parents, Roger and Bethel Kymes, of Hot Springs; her brother, Steve and Teni Kymes, of Cape Coral, Fla.; nieces; nephews; extended family members and many wonderful friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019, in Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs with Brother Bobby Floyd and Brother Mike Smith officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Pallbearers will be Bob Floyd, Tyler Floyd, Blane Gee, J. K. Slyby, Steven Kymes and Steve Kymes.
