Hot Springs Elks Lodge 380 recently served 168 complimentary dinners to thank area veterans for their service.

Boy Scouts from Troop 10 assisted in the flag ceremony prior to dinner, and girls from Miss Victorious Pageant Arkansas assisted with the dinner service.

Following the dinner, the "Empty Table" ceremony was performed in honor of late members of the armed forces.

Jackie B and Me entertained after dinner and the ceremony with music for listening and dancing. Veterans were invited to wear any uniform or symbol of their service, and retired Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard were represented.

"The Elks continue their dedication to the support and recognition of veterans with the annual dinner, in accordance with their motto: 'So long as there are veterans, the Elks will never forget them,'" the Elks Lodge said in a news release.
