Playing a global shell game with climate change

Do you believe in climate change?

Obviously, you should -- after all, there is plenty of evidence that the climate changes daily if not hourly. Politicians and UN scientists claim with certainty that their view of a pending disaster is "settled science" and they and their supporters book no disagreement. I believe our climate changes and average temperatures may be rising, but not for reasons claimed by these dubious experts and their politically motivated supporters.

Clearly, we as good citizens of our world need to use the resources we have as prudently as possible. Reducing air pollution, maximizing fossil fuel usage, developing alternative energy sources are all worthwhile ideas and we owe support to these ideas.

However, the current climate change movement is misnamed and unsupportable from both practical and scientific basis. It should not be called global warming since that is an argument being made and not use a hybrid term to disguise this bogus goal. Remember, at one point the claim was global cooling was the threat. Climate warming may be occurring but not for the causes blathered about by the UN as well as tax-hungry politicos with power on their minds.

So, from a practical basis, we need to ask: has the climate on earth ever warmer been than it is now? The answer is yes, and that fact can be proved by going to places where coldblooded creatures like dinosaurs existed. The closest place is Canada, where dinosaur bones have been found and thus indicating the climate was much warmer at an earlier point in time. Of course, man at that time had not dug the first bit of coal, drilled the first gas or oil well, nor had Henry Ford trotted out his first Model T.

Scientists, researchers, statisticians and many business planning departments use computer models with statistical tools (multiple regression) to identify the primary variables in the data and eliminate non-casual variables. The goal is to determine the primary cause or causes and utilize this knowledge in some manner. For example, if the temperature is rising then the goal is to analyze data and isolate the cause. The goal is not to prove CO2 is the cause, but eliminate all the variables that are not casual until one or more is identified that is part of or the entire cause. Further, any such analysis should be subject to replication of results not screams of "climate denier" nor should we be subjected to censorship or as Lenin said "It is, of course, easier to shout, howl and abuse than attempt to relate, to explain."

The investigative process if implemented properly requires no presumption of the results but rather requires identifying all the relevant factors and have data collected related to the item being studied. This process also requires large amounts of accurate data without regard to any data which might be considered non-relevant.

One of several problems with the global warming study is the inaccuracy of the data used in the study. Prior to about 1980 when satellite temperature and CO2 measurements became easier to do across the globe, data was lacking or of questionable value. The data collected prior to 1980 and particularly in the last century was questionable in quality. Data from that period was largely collected in the Western world and almost nonexistent in the other parts of the world. Even the data that was collected via mercury thermometers was of questionable accuracy. Those thermometers were difficult to determine and record exact readings and data collection was neither regularly collected nor was geographically evenly distributed.

The Paris Climate agreement cited as the basis for justifying massive changes in the global economy had a goal of reducing the average earth temperature 2 degrees from a basepoint early in the 20th century (approximately 1910). As noted above the quality and completeness of the data used as base temperature makes such a goal questionable, if not absurd. The additional problem from this and other comparable studies is the dismissing or ignoring factors that affect our climate. In particular, the impact of the sun, clearly a major factor, was dismissed in the Paris document. Further, little is noted in the document in regard to the factually known change in the earth's rotation every 100,000 years which has affected the planet's climate in the past and which many believe caused the dinosaurs' demise via global cooling.

When you factor in significantly incomplete data and a potentially biased analysis, even the possibility of a measurable upward increase in temperature in the last hundred years is unlikely. Furthermore, the argument that carbon dioxide is the primary cause is difficult to support when even a temperature increase is not provable. The secondary and additional assertion that man is totally responsible for a therefore questionable increase in temperature via carbon fuels smacks of a global shell game. Attempting to assert mankind is capable of reversing same by imposing a tax on its citizens implies those secular fools who preach this nonsense feel they have become God.

So, why all the media nonsense, political pressure and shouts of climate denier, and assigning hypothetical responsibility for global warming to the energy industry? Folks, ask yourself how do you implement socialism and control the global economy as rapidly as possible?

Answer: control the energy used by every home, business or manufacturer. The promoters of this manufactured hoax are not altruistic nor looking out for mankind and the planet! This is not about saving the planet, but it is about control by a pompous elite who claim superiority over those they deem ignorant peasants and nothing more. Thus, the camel's nose is in the tent. Let this nonsense prevail and we will be the "usefully idiots" which the regressive/progressive party seeks to create.

Valdemar Lenin was quoted as saying "Truth is the most precious thing. That is why we must ration it!" The people pushing this nonsense are hiding the truth from us.
