Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System's Hot Springs Community Based Outpatient Clinic, 177 Sawtooth Oak St., will offer a drive-through flu shot clinic this Friday and Friday, Nov. 1.

The clinic will run the two drive-through flu shot clinics from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on each of the two days. Veterans may also receive free flu shots during regular appointments at the clinic.

"The flu vaccine is a veteran's best protection against the flu, which usually begins in the fall and may continue through late spring. Those at a higher risk of illness and flu-based complications include: veterans age 65 and older; veterans with health problems such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, chronic lung disease and other chronic illnesses or conditions; pregnant veterans; caregivers of veterans with health problems," a news release said.
