The second of two teen suspects sought on multiple felony charges in connection with a shootout last month was arrested Thursday evening and charged as an adult.

Isaiah Eugene Young, 16, who lists an Albright Road address, was taken into custody at the Hot Springs Police Department around 6:15 p.m. and charged with aggravated robbery and terroristic act, punishable by up to life in prison, first-degree battery and terroristic act, punishable by up to 30 years, and unauthorized use of another person's property to facilitate certain crimes, punishable by up to 20 years.

His older brother, Latrell Trey Lamont Young, 18, who lists an Albert Pike Road address, was taken into custody on the same charges around 2 p.m. Wednesday after turning himself in at the police department. It wasn't known for certain if Isaiah Young turned himself in, as well.

Both suspects remained in custody Friday in lieu of $250,000 bond each. Latrell Young is being held at the Garland County Detention Center and Isaiah Young is being held at the Garland County Juvenile Detention Center.

The charges against the two were filed directly to Garland County Circuit Court on Sept. 26 and both are scheduled to be arraigned on the charges on Oct. 22. A gag order limiting pretrial publicity in the case was issued on Sept. 27.

According to the probable cause affidavits, on Sept. 26, shortly after 5 p.m., police responded to the 400 block of Audubon Street to a shooting that had occurred in the street. Witnesses stated a black car and a red car were involved in a disturbance during which the occupants of the red car began shooting at the occupants of the black car. The driver of the black car then returned fire as the red car backed up and sped away from the scene.

A passenger, 18, in the black car was taken to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs to be treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the left shoulder he received during the shootout. No one else was reportedly injured.

Detective Brian Branstetter later spoke to the driver, 22, of the black car, a Toyota Camry, who stated he and the shooting victim had met up with a Latino female on Crawford Street for a drug deal. While they were talking with her, a red Buick pulled up and one teen suspect got out and pointed a gun at the driver of the black car demanding money.

The driver put the car in drive and sped away to Audubon Street, but the Buick followed and pulled up in front of his car, front bumper to front bumper. One teen suspect got out and began firing a handgun at the black car, hitting the passenger. The driver grabbed his own gun and returned fire and the Buick and its occupants fled the scene.

The passenger who was shot was later told by friends it was the Young brothers who had shot him. He said he had not had any previous dealings with them but heard "they just rob people." He later picked both of them out of a photo lineup.

Police later located the Buick abandoned on Paulleo Lane with bullet holes in the windshield. The car was determined to be registered to someone other than the Youngs. Warrants for both suspects were issued on Sept. 27.
