ArHIMA welcomes new president

The Arkansas Health Information Management Association inducted Debby Hunt as president during the recent annual business meeting in Little Rock at Crowe Plaza.

"She has served on the ArHIMA board and held various leadership positions over the years. Her dedication to the health information management profession is greatly appreciated," a news release said.

Hunt is the Health Information Technology and Professional Medical Coding Program director at National Park College. She has served as an educator for 15 years. Formerly, she worked in the health care industry for 20 years in various leadership roles.

She holds a Master of Science in Health Informatics and has attained the Registered Health Information Administrator and Certified Coding Specialist credentials.

"Her leadership and knowledge will be an asset to the association and the health care community," the release said.
