Fiber Therapy Extension Homemakers Club has knitted and crocheted over 50 afghans this year for hospice patients, providing warmth and comfort during their time of need, a news release said. The afghans have been distributed through Hospice of Central Arkansas and Arkansas Hospice. "It is our pleasure to gift these patients with a blanket handmade by a member of our club and we hope each recipient enjoyed their afghan as much as we enjoyed making it for them," President Anna Jackson said. OMH to hike Womble Trail Thursday

Ouachita Mountain Hikers will hike the Womble Trail on Thursday and on Saturday will hike Hunt's Loop, followed by a Halloween picnic.
