A great opportunity

Dear editor:

We have a great opportunity ahead of us, to look to the Bible, to seek God's will and to ensure His character and principles prevail for posterity's sake and America's future. In my 77 years I've learned I am responsible for how I treat and respond to others. I am accountable to God and to myself. I believe one of His most merciful laws is "we will reap whatsoever we sow" because he gives us advance notice.

What if where we are causes Righteousness to rise up in order to protect our Democracy and secure our Liberty? What if His spirit ruled in America completely instead of the demonic, negative forces that have run amok to create hatred, division, chaos and confusion? As I evaluate my life, it wasn't only me who was dysfunctional without Christ, it was all. And the choice people made did involve their surroundings and upbringing.

Bottom line: There is a lot of pain and suffering in our world. The world needs Christ. And for those of us who know Jesus as Savior of the world, and our Lord, it carries a great responsibility to be who we are supposed to be and who we say we are, Christians.

Thank you so much, as I love letters to the editor. This has been my avenue of personal expression for many years now. As Tiny Tim said from "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, "God bless us, every one!"
