Members of Garland County Master Gardeners have selected the home of Bob and Janna Pfautz in Bay Ridge Loop as the Yard of the Month for September.
"Bob and Janna who have lived in this location for four years have added many features to their landscape. Encore Azaleas are planted across the front of their home and go up each side of the house. Interspersed with the azaleas are gardenia bushes, and blue hydrangeas. Potted plants grace the steps going from their walkway to the front door. Their plantings continue into their backyard which is surrounded by a privacy fence. The plantings include azaleas, camellias, roses, and ferns. They, also, have feeders for the cardinals, the squirrels, and the hummingbirds," a news release said.
They also have a memory garden in honor of their son, Gaylen, who died 10 years ago.
