GLENWOOD -- Lake Hamilton's Connor Hall earned medalist honors last week in a nine-hole match against Hot Springs and Sheridan at Glenwood Country Club Wednesday.

Hall shot an 11-over 47 for the win with teammate Zac Pennington and Hot Springs' Cade Miller earning runner-up medalist honors with 48s. Cade Robinson shot a 52 to round out the Wolves' scoring. Hot Springs' Warren Hedrick shot a 64, and Dallis Mitchell shot a 69.

"I was very proud of Connor Hall earning the medalist honor for the first time," said Lake Hamilton coach Brandi Higginbotham. "Zac shot one shot behind him for his best nine-hole score."

Sheridan won the boys match with a team score of 241, led by Drake Alstodt's 52. Neither Garland County team had enough players to constitute a team score.

Sheridan also won the girls match with a team score of 137, and Lake Hamilton shot a 155. Sheridan's Emma Hester earned medalist honors with a 41, and Anna Beth Reynolds earned runner-up medalist honors.

Ginny Higginbotham led the Lady Wolves with a 45. Kenley Spruill shot a 52, and Annabelle Coppedge finished with a 58.

"Ginny had a very good round at 45, only four shots off of the medalist, Emma Hester, who is a very solid golfer," Higginbotham said. "Kenley shot her nine-hole best of 52."

*Lake Hamilton was led by Robinson on Tuesday while Coppedge led the girls in a four-team match at Hurricane Creek in Bryant.

North Little Rock won both the boys match with a 149, Bryant was second with a 157 and Benton was third with a 177. Lake Hamilton did not earn a team score.

Robinson shot a 48 to lead the Wolves, Hall carded a 54 and Pennington finished with a 61.

NLR also won the girls match with a team card of 152. Bryant was second with 156, and Lake Hamilton was third with 191.

Coppedge led the Lady Wolves with a 58, Higginbotham finished with a 65 and Spruill shot a 68.

"We really struggled on this course," Higginbotham said. "Fast greens and lots of water."

The Wolves and Lady Wolves travel to Sheridan today.

Cobras win at DeGray

CADDO VALLEY -- Fountain Lake seniors Zach Redifer and Christopher Desfassiaux earned co-medalist honors as the Cobras took a win at DeGray Resort Golf Course last week.

Redifer and Desfassiaux both shot 3-over 39 for the win as the Cobras turned in a team card of 124. Mena finished second with a 142, Arkadelphia was third with 144 and Joe T. Robinson finished fourth with a 156.

Nashville won the girls match as the only school with enough players for a team score, shooting a 134, and Ellen Spigner earned medalist honors with a 36.

Fountain Lake's Camille McDaniel shot a 57.

The Cobras host Malvern Thursday at Magellan Golf Course in Hot Springs Village.

Junior Rams dominate

at Russellville tourney

RUSSELLVILLE -- Lakeside's junior Rams volleyball team remained undefeated as they won the Russellville tournament over the weekend.

Entering as the No. 3 seed after pool play with Conway White, Greenbrier and Clarksville, the junior Rams (6-0) downed Russellville Black 25-16, 25-19. Madi Bell Landry led the team with eight kills, three solo blocks, 4 digs and two aces. Carsen Cordell added six kills with 13 digs and two aces, Claire Graham had five kills with three blocks and Kaitlyn Threadgill controlled the back row with 28 digs with nine service points and two aces.

The junior Rams then faced off against Vilonia in the semi-final round, winning 2-1 after dropping the first set 19-25, 25-22, 15-6. Landry led the team with nine kills, four blocks and three digs. Cordell and Kennedy Brock added five kills each with nine digs from Cordell. Threadgill tallied 21 digs while serving up 11 points with three aces.

Lakeside then played a combined Russellville team for the title, 25-19, 25-17. Landry served up one ace with 11 kills and three blocks, Cordell had six kills with 11 digs and a pair of aces and Threadgill finished with 24 digs, seven service points and two aces. Brooklyn Bourland had 29 assists in the three matches and had a nine-serve run with four aces. Olivia Porter finished with 27 assists in the three matches with five kills.

Lakeside hosts Camden Fairview today for a conference match.
