St. Phillips COGIC Host's Holy Ghost Revival

St. Phillips COGIC, 237 Walnut St., will host a Holy Ghost Revival at 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Missionary Linda Diggins Durden, of William Temple COGIC in Little Rock, will be the revivalist.

VBC offers continuing adult education

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Village Bible Church offers continuing adult education after the worship service on Sunday mornings.

During the month of September, classes are offered on the subjects of "End Times," "Galatians," "Understanding the Love of God," "Foundations," and "Sermon Discussion."

Dale Kastner has studied "End Times" for 40 years and this class, Horizons, meets in the Fellowship Hall.

Skip Harper leads a study of Paul's letter to the Galatians.

The women's study of "Understanding the Love of God" will be taught by Sue Spurgin in Room 110.

Pastor Levan Hubbard will teach "Foundations" upstairs in the Loft.

Men will meet in Room 111 to discuss the sermon and application. This is led by Jim Capezza and Jerry Thompson.

VBC, located at 100 Ponderosa Way, Hot Springs Village, begins worship service at 9:15 a.m. Children's Church is offered as well as the Gathering for less formal worship. Fellowship time, with cookies and coffee, is from 10:30-10:50 a.m. Bible Study classes begin at 10:50 a.m. and conclude at 11:45 a.m.

Sermons are livestreamed to the VBC Facebook page and previous Sunday Sermons are broadcast on station KVRE (92.9 FM) at 9 a.m. on Sundays.

Senior Pastor Jason Lancaster, a native of Dallas, attended Arkansas Tech University and Dallas Theological Seminary. He received his Doctor of Ministry from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Prior to becoming the senior pastor of Village Bible Church, he was the senior pastor of Evanston Bible Fellowship in the Chicago area for 14 years.

Associate Pastor the Rev. Jim Neal received his theological training at Gramarynd Rapids Baptist College, now Cornerstone University, in Grand Rapids, Mich., with dual majors in music and Bible. He served with several parachurch ministries for 30 years, including World Vision, Youth for Christ and Dad the Family Shepherd.

Hubbard, an Arkansas native, the pastor of Worship & Care, is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. He comes to VBC after 19 years as senior pastor of churches in Arkansas and Texas.
