James D. and Jean K. (Lowder) Lucas, of Hot Springs, celebrated their 60th anniversary on Sept. 8 at 445 Walkway Drive in Hot Springs, hosted by their son, Todd Lucas.
The couple were married on Sept. 11, 1959, in Lewisville, with the Rev. David M. Hankins, uncle of the bride, officiating.
Their children are Greg Lucas (Debra), of Huntsville, Ala., and Todd Lucas of Arkadelphia. Grandchildren include Kristine (Lucas) Massey and Bryan Massey and Chelsea Lucas, all of Hunstville. The couple are members of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church.
He was employed by Group Living Inc., of Arkadelphia, A.P.& L. Co., Homecraft Builders and Riverview Paradise RV Park. She is retired from the U.S. Forest Service and Group Living Inc. of Arkadelphia.
