Fred Kelsay, Adopt-A-Vet chairman and Veterans Service officer for Hot Springs Elks Lodge No. 380, visited U.S. Army veteran Wayne Shultz on Sept. 10 and gave him a birthday card and VISA gift card for his 84th birthday. Shultz has been one of the Hot Springs Elks Lodge Veterans Committee's Adopt-A-Vets for several years. Library board to meet at noon Sept. 23

The Garland County Library Board of Directors will meet at the Garland County Library, 1427 Malvern Ave., at noon Monday, Sept. 23.

Patrons wishing to address concerns with the board are asked to obtain a request form at the library's circulation desk.
