Honoree banquet set for Friday

Dr. A Chatman Ministries will host its inaugural Community Honoree Banquet on Friday at the Marriott Courtyard beginning at 7 p.m.

The theme will be "From Struggle to Victory." Seven community members will be honored for their dedication, support and contributions to their community and the guest speaker for this event will be Brenda Robinson, of Little Rock.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 the day of the event.

Annual Youth Day set for Sunday

Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, 497 Crescent Ave., will observe its Annual Young People's Day Program at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The event will feature guest speaker Elton Taylor Jr. of Word Worship Center in Haltom City, Texas, and music by Greater St. Paul's Young People.

The event is open to the public.

Pastor and wife anniversary celebrated

Angel Gabriel C.O.G.I.C., 155 Lemons St., will host its 27th pastor and wife's anniversary, honoring Supt. Aaron and Missionary Gloria Gordon, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

The event will feature speaker Supt. Hayes, of New Jerusalem Church in El Dorado.

Men's Day set for Sunday

Roanoke Missionary Baptist Church, 236/238 Whittington Ave., will celebrate its annual Men's Day at 3 p.m. Sunday. Former youth members will speak about how the church played a part in influencing and shaping their lives as adults, with the theme "A Prepared Servant Willing to Stand." Music will be rendered by the Male Chorus, under the direction of Sister Deloris Massey.
