Hot Springs police had a brief standoff with a local man, identified as Antonio Lamar Loudermilk, 23, after he allegedly refused to get out of his vehicle following a traffic stop shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Loudermilk failed to stop when officers attempted to pull him over earlier, driving until he got to his residence at 217 Oaklawn Ave. where the standoff occurred until he ultimately surrendered. Loudermilk, who was sought on a warrant for failure to appear, was charged with misdemeanor counts of fleeing in a vehicle, resisting arrest and possession of a controlled substance related to Tuesday's incident.

"The great thing is it ended with no injuries to anyone," HSPD Cpl. Joey Williams said.
